Hello,
Windows 10 v.1909 x64
sage 300 erp 2017

weird issue. We have a computer that just updated to windows 10 version 1909 via windows updates.
Since then Accpac refuses to connect saying "you do not have a license to use this product!". I've checked ODBC sources, registry for correct shared folder settings, and made sure mapped network drive to shared files was not disconnected. Still it will not connect.
I was able to uninstall and reinstall accpac yesterday and could get in, however after a power cycle on the computer it is back to the same "you do not have a license to use this product!" even though ODBC is correct, registry is correct, and mapped network drives are connected.
At this point I believe it has something to do with saved credentials for the mapped drive or just the mapped drive itself. (since accpac isn't seeing the license files obviously) I've deleted the mapped drive, reset it up, made sure I have sufficient rights (can view, read, write, delete) and still won't connect

This is driving me nuts.
Any thoughts? it would really suck to reinstall sage everyday. LOL

Windows 10 with 2017 doesn't like mapped drives. If you can't upgrade, run Sage as administrator.

UNC path is used in the registry.

I've tried mapping drives to a drive letter and UNC share path in file explorer. both show and seem to work fine.

if I type in "\\server\shared" in file explorer I can access the share. however, sage is still not seeing the license files.

Jay
so I should just keep uninstalling and re-installing sage 2017 until it finally sticks?

Quick update on this. we are on a domain and it was the local computers DNS settings.

Even though the windows server dashboard said it was connected to the domain, it was not. Also, when going to network settings to look at adapter settings, previous to changing the DNS IP it just said it was connected to "Ethernet 2" after changing DNS to IP of the server showed it was connected to "server.local"

So changing the DNS settings to the server IP fixed the accpac issue. Just not sure why the 1909 update screwed this up in the first place.
