Sage 300 2016
Create GL entry in GBP (British Pounds) where the functional currency is ZAR. First update GBP exchange rate say for 15 May 2017.
Open new batch and do entry. Select the Account which has forex enabled. Allows me to change currency to GBP. Enter say 1000. The exchange rate comes up as 0.0783956 where it should be about 17.5. If I use the finder I can see the date and the correct date but the rate remains unchanged.
If I enter the equivalent ZAR amount, it calculates the correct rate but I have to enter both amounts. I cant specify the rate and it does not pick it up even though I see it in the finder.

Any ideas why the rate does not come up?
And where does it get a random incorrect rate of 0.0783956?

Rate tables are like we always set them up and it works everywhere else in AP, AR and CB. Also it used to work till 2 weeks ago.
Has worked fine since August 2016 install.
Only does this in GL.

I dumped and loaded it onto my system but it does the same.

Had a look in DB. All seems fine.

This funny rate of 0.0783956 does not appear anywhere in rate tables.

Seems it is in the client data as Sample data works.
Still not sure what causes it as everything looks in place.
Sending data to Sage.

Check for rates entered in Euro exchange rates, that messes stuff up.

Also found zar in Euro tables but ZAR are not members of the Eurozone.

That screws things up royally, I regularly see that.
