building new server on windows server 2012, ms sql 2008, sage 300 2017.
What is your preferred way of running Sage? I.e. workstation installs, or full local installs. We have only ran local installs on each computer previously.

what is the proper way to do workstation installs? run full local install on the server first, then run the workstation setup on each individual machine? do you need to tell the workstations installs to install AP, AR, IC, etc.. or does it just automatically pick that up from the server?

do you prefer windows authentication or SQL login for MS SQL server? or not really any difference for accpac?

1. NEVER put programs on workstations. Use Wssetup.
2. SQL login is mandatory

Workstation setups, do full install on server first then run wssetup on the workstations. Workstation setup picks up the modules installed on the server.
You need an SQL login when you setup the Sage databases.
