Am using Simply Accounting 2005 which has a data inconsistency of only 2 cents between Total Debits and Total Credits. Everything else is balanced including A/R, A/P, Advances, Vacation Pay, and Account Reconciliation. I performed repair instructions that I found on another forum which said to use the dbutil.exe file from the installation CD to compact and repair the database but it didn't fix the error. I discovered this error goes back a long way so I can't just use a backup and re-enter all the data. Any ideas of what can be done ? Really hope there's a solution.

Does Simply Accounting 2005 still a relevant or great accounting software to use until today? Those 2005 version is definitely outdated but the latest versions are expensive that's why more people are sticking on using their old version for this software. Sorry to hear that issues. Been also using Simply Accounting 2005 but I let my husband fix the issue I encountered.
