Hi - I have a die-hard AccPac Plus Dos user with all the base modules and wants to move from single-user to multi-user WITHOUT migrating to another software. Any suggestions on how to do this?
Thanks!

Ask them what they're smoking, and share it with the rest of us.

Wow-Is that Stephanie Sparkman from the old days?
As you are probably aware, they would need Accpac Plus LanPak's to change to multi-user. Sage stopped selling these years ago. If your client had any inkling that they would need to grow and had to stay with ACCPAC Plus, they should have bought these in 2006.
If your client would like to preserve their data and have an accounting system with screens that look like ACCPAC Plus and they will be able to fairly easily learn, Adagio with the Adagio LanPak is the only way to go. It's really time to get off the DOS accounting software. Windows 7 will not run Plus without using a virtualized machine and the prospects of printing from Plus in this scenario are dim.
I would be happy to give your client a remote demo of Adagio if you like.

I thought this forum was to help with Accpac, not to ridicule people who have legitimate questions. Maybe that is why there is so little activity.

There's probably so little activity because it's subject matter is a piece of mission-critical business technology whose last update was 11 years ago, was discontinued 6 years ago and runs on an obsolete operating system.

Hi armon
Most of us do not ridicule and as a moderator who has been trying to encourage useful replies I apologize for the slight. Jay should not be posting on this forum since his expertise is more Sage ACCPAC ERP than it is ACCPAC Plus.
However, the essence of the reply is correct, especially what Howard wrote.

As a long time watcher of this forum, Armon is correct. On average, 5 Adagio answers before someone finally gives an ACCPAC answer.

Yes, my answer was snarky, but FWIW, I started using Accpac plus in 1989, and did SDK development in it for 6 years, so I'm not ignorant of the product. As recently as 4 years ago, I did my last conversion from Plus to Windows.
Anybody still using Plus needs to be told the brutal truth, and not have their hand held. The product is dead. You might as well asking for new games for your Atari 2400. Adagio is the only logical solution.
Notice that the thread starts "I have a die-hard Accpac Plus user". That implies this question is coming from a consultant. Consultants need to give straight, honest answers to their users.

That would be good.
