Windows server 2008
Accpac Version 6.0 UP1
Workstation install to Windows 7 workstation.

Get Desktop has stopped working but only with users and not ADMIN.

Installed as administrator and when loging in to workstation as administrator, does the same thing. Works as admin not as user.

UAC disabled?
Ran workstation setup with "Run As Administrator"?
Ran regacc with "Run As Administrator"?
Opened Accpac the first time with "Run As Administrator"?

Yes to all 4.
Been working fine for a week under admin.
Only change is I enabled security on sys database and logged to create users and set up security profioles.
I did not toucg the Security button as I know that corrupts the admin and all other passwords.

Have to recover by renaming SITE and USERS and install SM again. Now I make a backup of those as soon as it works.

What!!! Never heard of that. Must be a South of the Equator thing
So you say Accpac ADMIN user works fine but the other Accpac users do not? (As opposed to network administrator and users.)

Yep, it must be the heat. 42 degC yesterday in Nelspruit.
No joking hey. It happened twice. And we are not in Nelspruit, but we are about 5500 feet higher. Maybe altitude? But Accpac here know about this which makes me think I am not the only one who has had this.

Yes, ADMIN works fine.

I am going to uninstall everything tonight and install from scratch.

It might be a permissions thing, check permissions to the shared data folder.
Try disabling anti virus on the workstation and try changing the DEP settings on the workstation.
