I am trying to allocate my sales persons dollar amounts from his commission cheque to specific jobs. I currently allocate our field staff's payroll to jobs based on hours, but want to be able to allocate dollar amounts from our salesman's payroll cheque as apposed to hours per job.

You can allocate payroll costs by amount, percent or hours, but there is only one setting for all payroll transactions.

You could change the setting, post the salesperson's payroll then change it back again before the regular payroll.
